Our Story
Joseph Construction was founded in 2009 by Joe Walsh, a third-generation builder with a passion for quality craftsmanship and a client-first approach.
Joe's journey in construction began at 16, labouring for a plasterer while studying the trade. He completed a bricklaying apprenticeship, followed by three years in groundworks and civils, and a year with a scaffolding company. Gaining experience across multiple trades, Joe naturally excelled and went on to join a price-work gang with SJ Tyler, specialising in new builds across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Huntingdonshire.
When the financial crisis hit in 2007, many new build sites were forced to close. Rather than step back, Joe stepped up--launching Joseph Construction in 2009 with a small terraced house extension and loft conversion. Within a year, the company secured its first full self-build at Tansar Court, St Neots--delivered on time and within budget.
From there, the business grew steadily, building a strong reputation for delivering high-quality self-build homes and bespoke extensions throughout the region.
Today, Joseph Construction is proud to have a close-knit team that manages every aspect of construction--from garden rooms and unique extensions to full-scale family homes. Our focus remains the same: expert craftsmanship, clear communication, and a commitment to bringing your vision to life.
